Historic Listing
Hythe Pier has been added to the National Heritage List for England by Historic England. HPHA launched the project to “list” the pier to ensure that it is general recognised to be a building of special architectural and historic interest. It has been listed as Grade II.
The listing process consisted of completing an application, gathering historic and photographic evidence, hosting a review visit by Historic England and then responding to various consultation documents.
